Next month I’ll be attending my first in person conferences since 2019. The Kscope 22 conference will be in Grapevine Texas, June 19th – 23rd. My last last conference also happened to be Kscope (2019).
ODTUG Kscope Conference
Kscope 2019 was my first Kscope conference I had ever attended. I found the event different than other Oracle conferences I’ve attended. The content is top notch as are the speakers. They attract the most amazing speakers from around the globe. Many are in the Oracle ACE program, authors, experts, etc. The event is very inclusive for all involved, from attendees to speakers to vendors. They have an awesome track break down that includes:

Presentations
I’ve been fortunate to have been selected for two presentations. One in the database track and another in the emerging technologies track. Both presentations will be Oracle Cloud related. The Machine Learning one is a completely new subject for me. I’ve been really enjoying learning about and preparing this presentation. I was also recently asked to be part of the Lunch & Learn DB panel. I’m very excited for that too!

Oracle’s Always Free Tier of cloud services provides capable set of tools for no cost to you. This session will review what’s available with these free cloud services including virtual machines, storage, autonomous databases, APEX, and the ability to use machine learning. We’ll explore how these free services work and what can be done with them, how you can learn some modern tech skills, and use them to create proof of concept systems.
